Liverpool Football Club is an English professional football club, based in Liverpool, Merseyside, that plays in the Premier League. The second most successful club in the history of English football, Liverpool has won eighteen League titles, seven FA Cups and a record seven League Cups. Liverpool was founded in 1892 and admitted into the Football League a year later. They have played at their home ground,Anfield, since their formation, although since 2002 there have been plans to move to a new stadium in Stanley Park.
