Google's new social media Web site, Google Plus, added games to its user experience Thursday.
There are 16 games to start off with, including Angry Birds, Diamond Dash, Zombie Lane and Wild Ones.
The new social media site created a stir in July when it gained 10 million users within two weeks of its trial period, according to the company.
Google Plus came about on the premise that online sharing is "awkward" and "even broken," according to a company statement on the project.
Now it's offering social networking games, which have already proved to be immensely popular on Facebook and as apps on smartphones.
PopCap Games, a video game-making company that has created many popular games, such as Bejeweled, did a survey last year of social gaming habits. The survey of American and British game players found that the average player is, in fact, a 43-year-old woman. Read more
